WATCH: Aeromexico Passengers Take Cover As Plane Is Fired Upon At Culiacán Airport

An Aeromexico flight set to take off from Culiacán to Mexico City was struck by gunfire at the airport, forcing terrified passengers to duck for cover. The incident occurred as Ovidio Guzmán, a top leader of the Sinaloa Cartel and the son of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán, was being arrested by authorities in Mexico. No injuries were reported.
