The media reported the release of the killer of the Orekhovskaya organized crime group, Alexander Pustovalov, suspected of more than 30 murders

Alexander Pustovalov or Sasha Soldat spent 24 years behind bars; investigators were able to prove his involvement in 22 murders over five years. Among his victims were businessmen, bandits, security forces, as well as girlfriends and wives of crime bosses. According to Chita Online, the killer used nooses, bladed weapons and firearms, and invited some victims to have a drink at the dacha, where he killed and dismembered them. Relatives of the victims demanded a life sentence for him, but the court refused this due to Pustovalov’s repentance. At the same time, when asked why he killed, Pustovalov replied: “I am a soldier, this is my job.” He served his sentence in IK-9 in the Tver region, where he was a collector of ritual products and then a pickler of vegetables. For the next three years after his release, the killer will have to regularly report to the police; Pustovalov is also prohibited from leaving the city in which he lives and going out at night.
